Steve Collins is Senior Lecturer in Multimedia in the Department of Media, Music and Cultural Studies at Macquarie University where his research interests include new media technologies, copyright law and the impact of music technologies on the creative process and the music industry. Steve is also a musician and has been releasing original music online under the name INfest8 since 1998 and producing remixes for bands around the world. Sherman Young is Associate Professor in the Department of Media, Music and Cultural Studies at Macquarie University, where his research interests include the impact of new media technologies and the future of the book. He is the author of The Book is Dead, Long Live the Book (UNSW, 2007). Prior to academia, Sherman produced multimedia for a range of clients with a focus on introducing clients to new media technologies. In a former life, he was an amateur musician whose musical claim to fame is playing in a covers band which had a short residency at The Woolloomooloo Bay Hotel.
