Oliver Creighton is Professor of Archaeology in the Department of Archaeology and History at the University of Exeter. He writes, researches and teaches about the archaeology of medieval and historic Britain and Europe and has specific research interests in castles and fortifications in their wider contexts, landscape archaeology, urbanism, and medieval warfare. He has written or co-written ten books or monographs and over 70 journal articles and book chapters on these and other subjects.
